Raised on Aucklands North Shore, Ruth trained as a teacher and Bob completed a trade in photolithography.
The next twenty something years was the normal turmoil that comes with a growing family,looking after business and coping generally with the many variables that life throws at us.
As the youngsters moved on both Bob and Ruth wanted to spend more time together so took a career path change and teamed up as real estate consultants,firstly in Auckland and than further afield in Thames. |

When the oppurtunity of purchasing the Motel in Whakatane came along they relished the idea and jumped in at the deep end. The house was sold the two dogs(Missy & Woody) and three cats were on their way to Whakatane and the start of a new adventure.
Ruth is a keen gardner,follows the silver ferns and enjoys swimming which is a good thing as Bob still enjoys a surf when they can get away,and has a lifelong passion for motorcars.And yes they both watch and support the All-Blacks. |
